I have had a new friend since May of this year. His name is Louie. He is half Taco dog and half some kind of terrier. A great companion and love it when I get home. Yep, he is a mutt and yep he is adopted from the kennels where he was dropped off skinny and weak.
Pops, even though I love all dogs, I have become partial to the little terrier breeds, especially the Rat, Fox and Theodore Roosevelt terriers. They make great companions as is,but it seems that if you get one as a rescue that has been abused or abandoned, they will bond even closer with you.
Tinkerbell, my new little fur baby, won't let me out of her sight, and to put it mildly, she is all over me like a cheap suit.
