Part II-A MOMENT WITH OUR FATHER_A WARNING TO ALL CHRISTIAN CHURCHES:

Bishop,
The Church, churches, government(local, state, federal world-wide), business, education- all compromised and in varying degrees of corruption.
I remember in the fourties and fifties, people lined up for confession and wouldn't think of receiving Holy Communion without that cleansing ritual. I'll bet most people's sins in those days were petty in comparison. Pope Pius the 12th opined that the world was infused in evil. Probably, but what would he say today? And the Confession line has been streamlined to 15 minutes on Sunday morning in our town. Sin and guilt redefined?
The Church has fallen down but the Lord has assured us that the Genuine Original will survive until His return, if only a remnant. In the Old Days we were taught that the cloistered orders staved off God's Wrath by their exemplary lives of prayer and penance. I hope that such orders still exist unaffected by the rampant evil spawned by our high-tech society.
Conscience nags at me to get spiritually right by employing the age-old methods of prayer, penance and fasting. Hard to do in today's gluttonous, noisy, multi-tasking society, but I keep striving.

Well, I don't mean to brag, and I might be wrong, but I believe they can only be found in Orthodox Catholic Monasteries, especially those on Mt. Athos.

Bishop,
I will research and study the Orthodox Catholic faith and whether or not the RC old orders still exist. We had many Roman Catholic monastic and cloistered orders back in the day. I was always impressed by them and attracted to their philosophy of prayerful deprivation, penance and service. I never followed through on that calling. Is there anything more beautiful than a choir of monks or nuns praising God through their hymns? Or silently praying in chapel. At the other end of the specrum we have a choice of rap, hip-hop and a variety of devilish rock concoctions, and the adulation of the weird "artists" who promulagate this awful stuff. We certainly have progressed.

In today's world progress seems to be downward spiral.

We have our fair share of priests and clergy pushing 'social justice' i.e. open borders. I heard one of them just they other day, waffling on about how we could show openness and what not. No answer when someone asked him just how many are we supposed to open our arms to.

They want us to just keep allowing more and more non-stop. Maybe they think the illegals will fill their pews.

Many of the hierarchy within the Church say that these immigrants (illegal) are our brothers and sisters and know no borders. They are going against our own Catechism. The Catholic Church is too bureaucratic IMO. There needs to be more oversight from Rome paying attention to the American bishops and nuns IMO. We are starting to have more bishops and priests speak out against abortion, sin, evil in the world, etc. Thankfully much of those Orders which are liberal are becoming a dying breed. I will give Pope Benedict kudos for excommunicating a number of Bishops and/or priests who have caused grave scandal to the Church.

I can only hope and pray that it isn't too little too late.
